Rue St-Patrice 2b, 7110 HOUDENG-AIMERIES
Museums
Presentation Consisting of the surface workshops, the Saint-Emmanuel pit and the mining village, the Bois-du-Luc site forms an exceptional ensemble in more ways than one. It has also been on the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2012. Witness to the industrial period, it tells us about the economic, social, techno- logical and cultural history of an entire region. As for the slag heaps surrounding it, they have gradually been transformed into natural sanctuaries hosting a surprising diversity of plants and animals. Finally, Bois-du-Luc nestles in the heart of the Pays du Centre. The site is therefore located near quality restaurants, guest houses ready to welcome you and many other points of interest such as the old lifts of the Canal du Centre, also classified as UNESCO.
Opening : All year long, Tuesday to Friday 10 am-5 pm and from 04/01 to 10/01, also on weekends from 10 am to 6 pm.
